Welcome to Picker's Paradise
Picker's Paradise, the lowest level of the store, is a treasure trove waiting to be discovered. Here, visitors can find an eclectic mix of items ranging from vintage furniture and collectibles to salvaged items from local estate sales, schools, and businesses. Each corner offers something new, beckoning you to delve deeper into its wonders.
At Cincy Salvage, my eye was drawn to two large globes rescued from local schools. I have a small personal collection of globes, so I'm kind of hoping they'll be there the next time I return with more money.
While Picker's Paradise is enclosed and protected from the elements, it isn't heated. On my visit the door was propped open, so I only lingered long enough to get a general lay of the land. For those of you venturing into Picker's Paradise during the winter months, make sure to come prepared for the cold.
The Lower Level
A fellow wanderer and I exchanged greetings and I uttered "It's freezing!" She assured me things would be much more comfortable once I entered the Lower Level of the Centre.
Since this was my first visit and I had next to no money allotted to spend on inventory sourcing, I decided to limit myself to just exploring the Lower Level. It was much warmer after I entered and I took my time meandering through each booth.
There is something for everybody on this level, from man cave décor to collectible ceramics, leather jackets to Mid-Century Modern (MCM) furniture and décor. You can see just some of the variety from the first few booths in the video above.
I took my time wandering through each booth, but was intrigued by the offerings from Off Main. This shop was very much my vibe and had a decent amount of vintage Hull Pottery pieces, mostly in pink. Needless to say, I lingered for quite some time.

The elephant side table/plant stand caught my eye because it reminded me of a table my mother has. I believe her table is carved teak wood, which she purchased back in the early 80s from a neighbor who imported interesting objects from Asian countries. The table has a top that screws off so it could also be turned into a lamp base, like what you see here in this image search.

They also had several Art Deco style sculptures that may have been bronze, one which you can see in the photo above, plus several other that I only noticed after watching my videos and looking through the photos. The one I picked up was quite weighty and had a nice patina, but was very reasonably priced.

I'm looking forward to going back when I have some money. I hope this vendor continues to rent at Riverside Centre Antique Mall. Here's one more video around the Off Main booth. Does anything catch your eye?
Conclusion: A Journey Just Beginning
As I made my way to the exit, I realized that this was only the beginning of my adventure. The first level of the store had captivated my heart and ignited my wanderlust. I can’t wait to return and explore the next levels, where more mysteries and delights await.
Until next time, happy wandering!
